INSTALLATION GUIDE

Site Storage and Handling
Site storage and handling are critical to maintaining the integrity of the panel surface. It will be necessary to unpack and stage panels for installation. Establishing a location and method of storage and staging in advance of crate delivery is essential.

Quality Control & Expectations

Standard Panel Maintenance
Standard maintenance of panels before, during, and after installation is recommended for all TAKTL products. TAKTL offers several standard procedures to successfully clean, repair, and remediate panels to maintain their appearance.

Concealed Clips
TAKTL panels, intended for concealed attachment, are factory-drilled for KEIL undercut anchors exclusively. The TAKTL Hardware clip extrusion profile is designed specifically so that KEIL undercut anchors mechanically engage the panel without transferring internal stress.

Rails and Subframe
TAKTL rails can be fastened to sub-girts or backup-wall with self-drilling stainless steel screws. When properly installed, clips and rails accommodate seismic or regular building movement while providing the means for direct fixing where necessary.

Field Drilling (Concealed and Visible Fasteners)
TAKTL panels are typically drilled for fasteners per approved drawings prior to shipment. However, situations may arise in which field drilling is required in order to accommodate hole relocation or larger penetrations.

Field Cutting
TAKTL panels are typically cut per approved drawings prior to shipment. In some instances, field cutting is required to accommodate panel adjustments in case of unforeseen circumstances.

Field Grinding
TAKTL panels do not require any surface grinding for a successful installation. However, situations may arise in which field grinding in which hole location may not be flat enough for proper drilling or if the attachment clip is not resting on the back surface properly.
